Cairnwood Estate is located in Bryn Athyn's Historic District, near the border of Bucks and Montgomery Counties, Pennsylvania. The grounds are 16 miles from center city Philadelphia and are part of a private college campus. As a National Historic Landmark, it shares its grounds with the Glencairn Museum and the Bryn Athyn Cathedral. Next to the estate and grounds are the pristine woodlands of the Pennypack Preserve that represents the largest private reserve in Montgomery County, and serves as the anchor to this graceful campus of architectural wonders. Inside the heart of Cairnwood Estate is the striking Great Hall, a spacious and sunny room rising two stories. The hall is framed by a large formal staircase, which leads to a second floor balcony and dressing suites for the bridal party. Three high arched French doors open onto the terrace and the lawn beyond. The primary rooms on the first floor offer the space and ambience for intimate settings of 50-250 guests. The fine craftsmanship and architectural details - from the intricately carved fireplaces to the hand crafted oak bookcases in the library - are present in all of the large ground-floor rooms.
